Powder coating is the process where dry powder is electrostatically applied and then cured in a large oven. The result is a coating that is generally thicker and more robust. But powdercoating is not a "miracle" finish. Any coating, if scratched down to the bare metal, will develop rust at that spot. Many powdercoat shops don't prime their work, even when it's for outdoor use. At Metal Revival we prime everything that will live outdoors or in any environment that can be effected by humidity and UV.
Our standard powdercoat process involves media blasting, powder priming, powder topcoating, and when required powder clear coating
